Waste Collection

The City of Irving's Solid Waste Services Department is dedicated to providing efficient waste collection and disposal services for its residents.

The Solid Waste Department collects trash from each residential and “opted-in” nonresidential location twice each week. Recycle and brush/bulky items (four bulky items each week) for residential customers are collected only one time a week. Use the interactive map to search for your pick-up day.

When a city holiday is on your trash collection day, there will be only one trash collection that week. If the city holiday in on the scheduled day for recycle and brush/bulky items service, there will be no service until the following week.

Chapter 33 – Refuse, Garbage and Weeds is the ordinance that governs solid waste collection guidelines in Irving.
