Street Operations

Street Operations is responsible for the maintenance, repair, and preservation of Irving's street network.



Street Operations is committed to reducing potholes throughout the city. The pothole hotline allows residents to communicate the location of potholes in the city so that staff can address them within 24 business hours.


Callers will hear a recording requesting the pothole location, date and time of call. Messages are checked throughout the day and communicated to repair crews.

Future Investments + Ongoing Improvements

To support Irving’s continued growth, the Traffic & Transportation Department is investing in:


  1. Expanded Summer Asphalt Overlay Program to address aging infrastructure via Road to the Future program.
  2. Predictive modeling software for efficient pavement lifecycle management.
  3. Smart traffic signal technology to further optimize traffic flow.
