Irving 360° Civic Academy
The Irving 360° Civic Academy was designed to give participants a behind-the-scenes look at the daily operations of the City and encourage civic engagement.
The academy will soon be accepting applications from anyone 18 or older who lives or works in Irving.

After Graduation
After attending the Irving 360° Academy, participants will be equipped with the tools and knowledge to help them get more involved with the City of Irving! Engagement opportunities could include:
- Volunteer opportunities
- Applying to serve on a city board
- Speaking before the City Council on an issue
- Creating a local neighborhood association
- Applying to participate in the alumni programs, such as the Irving Ambassador Program

FAQs
Who can participate in the program?

When is the academy held?

The program consists of 11 consecutive sessions generally on Tuesday evenings from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m., beginning in September and ending in November.
Dinner is served at each session.
Where are the sessions held?

The sessions will be held at various City of Irving facilities. Information on the sessions, including a detailed agenda, will be provided in a participant’s acceptance letter.
May I bring a guest to these activities?

Due to space limitations, participants cannot bring guests to the sessions.
Do I have to go to every class?

We would love for our participants to make it out to every single class, but we understand that there may be things outside of their control that come up on a scheduled class day.
In order to be considered eligible for graduation, participants can miss no more than 3 classes.
What if I have more questions?

Does it cost anything to participate?

No, Irving 360 is designed to increase community engagement, so the City of Irving offers this program at absolutely no cost to participants!
How do I apply?

Once our application opens, those interested can apply right from this webpage by heading over to the "Apply Here!" tab and submitting their application there.
When do applications open?

Soon! The Irving 360 application will open this summer. In the meantime, you can fill out the interest form by heading over to the "Notify Me!" tab to receive a notification when the application opens.
