WARRANTS
Class C misdemeanor warrants issued by the Irving Municipal Court are entered into the regional computer system, valid throughout the State, and accessible to any peace officer.
Also, allowing a court case to go into warrant status substantially increases the amount of the fines and fees due. Additionally, your case will be turned over to the City's collections vendor.
DISPOSING OF WARRANTS
The most common options available to you for disposing of your warrant are (if eligible):
- Appear in person and request to speak to the judge during the judge's hours (M-F, 1:30 – 2:30 p.m.)
- Enrollment in Community Service
- Request a time payment plan
- Payment of fine in full
- Post a surety or cash escrow bond and request a new court date
- Retain the services of a bail/bonding agency
- Voluntary incarceration in the Irving City Jail
- Retain an attorney to represent you
