Library Renovation Project
The Irving Public Library is getting some TLC with makeovers at Valley Ranch, South Irving and West Irving libraries. As South Irving Library nears its first decade, West approaches fifteen years and the Valley Ranch Library building closes in on twenty years of service, this glow-up ensures the buildings are beautiful and functional community spaces for many more years to come.
Library Improvements Overview
- Fresh paint on interior walls
- Sound dampening panels in study spaces
- Restroom upgrades
- Updated signage
- Special projects at South and Valley Ranch libraries
Be on the lookout for signage indicating areas where work is in progress.
Crews will do their best to complete the work with minimal disruption. However, some closures will be necessary. Please see the timeline graphic below for more information.
The renovation project, funded by the 2021 Municipal Bond election, will create a more inviting atmosphere for reading, studying and intellectual growth for all visitors, and library staff are excited to share the progress!
