Extended Stay Superstars at the Irving Animal Care Campus


Animals are designated as "Superstars" when they have been at the shelter for an extended period of time. Sometimes animals, no fault of their own, get overlooked and end up staying at the shelter way longer than they need to. Open your home and your heart to a shelter pet in need.

You can ask our wonderful kennel staff to pair you with your perfect match at the Irving Animal Shelter.




You provide the love.
We'll take care of the rest.

All dogs and cats offered for adoption by IAS will be:
  1. Up-to-date on vaccinations, including rabies if the animal is more than three months of age
  2. Spayed or neutered
  3. Given a general dewormer and treated for fleas and ticks
  4. Microchipped and registered with 24PetWatch
  5. Heartworm tested (dogs over 6 months of age)
  6. FeLV / FIV tested (cats over 4 months of age)
  7. Given a sample bag of Science Diet food
